PPP Loan Portal Re-Opens: The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in consultation with the U.S. Treasury Department, opened the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan portal on Monday, January 11, 2021 9:00AM ET. The Paycheck Protection Program is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll. When the PPP loan portal system opens, it will initially accept First Draw PPP loan applications from participating CFIs, which include Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs), Certified Development Companies (CDCs), and Microloan Intermediaries. You can apply through any existing SBA 7(a) lender or through any federally insured depository institution, federally insured credit union, and Farm Credit System institution that is participating. Other regulated lenders will be available to make these loans once they are approved and enrolled in the program. United Way 211 help peoples navigate their way through the maze of human and social services agencies by providing the most adequate resources for the client’s situation. English and Spanish languages are readily available. United Way 211 is for non-emergency assistance only; 211 may not be reached on some hotel, cell, or pay phones. Vaccine Information-Jan 20 2021: Vaccine through Lee County: The COVID-19 vaccine reservation system will reopen Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. The number to call is 1-866-200-3468. At this time, these vaccines are still only for people age 65 and over and frontline healthcare workers. A total of 5,800 appointments are available for Thursday, January 21st and Friday, January 22nd. This is a single-location vaccination site. It is located east of Interstate 75 off of Daniels Parkway. It’s the site of the old airport terminal parking lot. Message boards will direct traffic to Paul J. Doherty Parkway. A parking area is available. Vaccine through Publix: Coronavirus vaccine at Publix Pharmacy. All available COVID-19 vaccine appointments at Publix Pharmacy have been claimed. Starting Friday, January 22 after 6:00 a.m. EST, eligible customers can access appointment availability beginning Saturday, January 23. Valerie's House to Re-Open August 3: In-person support groups launch again at its three locations in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties. Safety precautions will be enacted, including requiring face coverings, social distancing, and temperature checks of each person as well as a form that each person will sign attesting they have not been ill or associated with anyone who has COVID-19.  Chairs and floor cushions the children sit on will be placed six feet apart.  Some groups will be conducted outside under tents. Valerie's House has also added additional nights for grief support to allow for social distancing and increased demand.  Groups now will be offered every night Monday through Thursday at each of the locations throughout Southwest Florida.  Two additional counselors have been hired to accommodate the expanded schedule, bringing the total number of employees to 10, including three licensed clinicians. Virtual groups will continue to be available for families who want to continue meeting online. Valerie's House is accepting appointments for new enrollments. Business Rehire Grant: The LeeCARES Rehire program and call center has closed. Complete and submitted applications are being processed as quickly as possible. If your we need additional documents information to complete process your application, someone will contact you. Childcare Assistance Program: Funding for United Way childcare scholarships, and PPE supply for partnering childcare providers. Families can apply directly through a participating childcare provider. LeeCARES Utilities Assistance Program:  Three new rounds of utility assistance to pay up to $1,000 in water/sewage and electric bills for eligible applicants during each round. Assistance may be provided regardless of whether the applicant has received previous utility assistance.The program will consist of three rounds of application periods.Round 1: October 19-30, 2020Round 2: November 2-27, 2020Round 3: November 30-December 11, 2020Eligible households must have lost jobs, been furloughed or experienced a reduction of income after March 1, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Valerie's House to Re-Open August 3: In-person support groups launch again at its three locations in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties. Safety precautions will be enacted, including requiring face coverings, social distancing, and temperature checks of each person as well as a form that each person will sign attesting they have not been ill or associated with anyone who has COVID-19.  Chairs and floor cushions the children sit on will be placed six feet apart.  Some groups will be conducted outside under tents. Valerie's House has also added additional nights for grief support to allow for social distancing and increased demand.  Groups now will be offered every night Monday through Thursday at each of the locations throughout Southwest Florida.  Two additional counselors have been hired to accommodate the expanded schedule, bringing the total number of employees to 10, including three licensed clinicians. Virtual groups will continue to be available for families who want to continue meeting online. Valerie's House is accepting appointments for new enrollments. Testing

COVID Testing in Golden Gate: Healthcare Network, a nonprofit organization committed to the health and well-being of everyone in the community, will provide free drive-thru COVID-19 testing from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27 at Nichols Community Health Center in Golden Gate, 12655 Collier Blvd. Testing will be based on available supplies, for people of all ages regardless of symptoms. A physician or provider referral is not required, and those receiving tests do not need to be patients of Healthcare Network.
